The future of the Penrith Ice Palace is at risk following the sale of the venue to developers. In response the Western Sydney Ice Sports Co-operative has been formed in order to lease the rink. The Co-operative is made up of the Emperors, Flyers and Phantoms Ice Hockey Clubs, the Penrith Valley Figure Skating Club and the Sydney Ice Theatre.
They are now attempting to raise the funds to cover the leasing costs, repairs and initial supplies. Tax deductible donations for this purpose can be made via the Australian Sports Foundation.
