Michael Schlamp retires

Michael Schlamp has released a statement via the Sydney Bears confirming that he has stepped back from playing due to injury and other commitments. Schlamp first joined the Bears in 2007 and had earlier played a season with the Newcastle Northstars in 2002. Schlamp played 289 AIHL games and recorded 339 points. He had also held the captaincy of the Bears since 2010 with Brian Funes taking over the role for the 2022 season.
