2022 Men’s U20 World Championships: Australia defeats Israel to win bronze

The Australian men’s national under-20 team have defeated Israel 1–0 in the bronze medal game of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III tournament. Goaltender Jeremy Friederich was named best Australian player of the match. Captain Ethan Hawes was named the best Australian player of the tournament and was also selected as the tournament’s best defender by the IIHF Directorate.

In the other games of the day Turkey defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 5–1 to finish fifth and Chinese Taipei won the gold medal game against Mexico 5–4 in overtime, finishing the tournament in first and earning promotion to Division II Group B for 2023.
