2022 AIHL season: 7 August results and standings

Day 33 of the 2022 Australian Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Melbourne Mustangs defeating the Sydney Ice Dogs while in exhibition play the CBR Brave beat the Central Coast Rhinos. The standings remain unchanged with the CBR Brave in first place, four points ahead of the second placed Newcastle Northstars. Competition resumes next week with the Sydney Bears hosting the Melbourne Mustangs and the Sydney Ice Dogs travel to Canberra to take on the CBR Brave. There are also two exhibition games scheduled with the Perth Thunder hosting the Melbourne Ice and the Brisbane Lightning take on the Central Coast Rhinos in Erina.

The match between the Melbourne Mustangs and Sydney Ice Dogs also served as the Mustangs’ annual Pride Game. The event was originally scheduled to be held between the Mustangs and the Brave on 2 July but had to be rescheduled due to the match being cancelled. The Mustangs won the last Pride Game in 2019 against the Adelaide Adrenaline.
