The Brisbane Lightning have announced that they will hold an inter-squad match to replace the now cancelled exhibition game against the CBR Brave. The exhibition game scheduled for 27 August was cancelled last week following a request from the CBR Brave in order to focus on their 2022 Goodall Cup preparations. The replacement inter-squad match will feature the Lightning playing as Team Chempro and Team City Fertility, named after two of their sponsors. The Lightning will also hold a junior skills challenge in conjunction with the Brisbane Buccaneers and Southern Stars.
