The CBR Brave have defeated the Newcastle Northstars 6–1 in their semifinal at the O’Brien Icehouse. The Brave and Northstars had qualified for the second semifinal after finishing first and second in the 2022 AIHL regular season respectively. The Brave now advance to the Goodall Cup Final on 4 September, while the Northstars move on to tomorrow’s preliminary final against the Sydney Bears.
