Ice Hockey NSW have announced that the Sydney Wolf Pack will re-brand as the Northern Wolf Pack ahead of the 2022–23 AJIHL season. The change in branding follows the decision by Ice Hockey NSW to base the team out of the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium in Newcastle. Formed in 2012 the team was originally known as the Sydney Maple Leafs before changing their name to the Wolf Pack ahead of the 2013–14 season.
