The Brisbane Lightning have released their roster for the upcoming 2022–23 AWIHL season. The Lightning kick off their season on 5 November when they take on the Sydney Sirens at the Macquarie Ice Rink.
Comparing to the Brisbane Goanna’s 2020–21 Brisbane United Ice Hockey League Division 3 season roster new players include Eliza Acton, Christina Badgley, Kate Barbour, Anya Bonner, Sharnita Crompton (from Adelaide Rush), Lindsey Kiliwnik, Danica McIntosh, Tracey McIntosh, Lisa McMahon, Katie Meyer, Katrina Rapchuk and Georgia Watts. Players returning after competing in the 2019–20 AWIHL season are Chloe Charles, Kelly Costa and Veera Laiho. While players dropped include Megan Gilchrist, Bronte Graham, Cassie Haley, KJ Kim, Sarah Kinninment, Taylah Pearson, and Samantha Smith.
