The Brisbane Blitz have defeated the Melbourne Glaciers 4–1 in the preliminary final of the 2022–23 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League playoffs at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium. The Glaciers had qualified for the match after defeating the Sydney Sabres in the first semifinal and the Blitz had progressed following their loss to the Adelaide Generals in the second semifinal. The Blitz now advance to tomorrows grand final where they will take on the Adelaide Generals. Meanwhile the Glaciers move on to the third-place game tomorrow where they will come up against the Sydney Sabres
