The Melbourne Ducks have announced their bid to enter a team into the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) for the 2023–24 season. As part of their application the Ducks will host a series of exhibition games out of iceHQ against AWIHL clubs with details to be announced at a later date. Jeremy Muir has been appointed to the position of head coach, a role he previously held with the men’s team before the Pacific Hockey League folded.
