The Sydney Bears have defeated the Central Coast Rhinos 12–0 in their exhibition game at Erina Ice Arena. Bears’ goaltender Dane Brumm picked up the shutout and Tomas Landa led the scoring with a hat-trick. The Rhinos next face off against the Newcastle Northstars on 1 April for their second exhibition game of the preseason while the Bears currently have no more announced games before the start of the regular season on 15 April.
