The Sydney Bears have announced the re-signing of defender Tim Newmark for the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Newmark played 16 games for the Bears in 2022, scoring six goals and 14 assists. Since making his league debut in 2014 he has competed in 64 AIHL games and recorded 51 points. More recently Newmark was part of the Australian team that competed at the 2023 Trans-Tasman Clash in New Zealand and has been named on the Australian roster for upcoming 2023 World Championships.
