Australians overseas 2022–23: United States (part 6)

Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2022–23 season. Today is Part 6 of 6 featuring Australians in the United States. The final part of this series, Australians in New Zealand, will be published following the end of the NZIHL season in September.

Sara Sammons: Fourth season with Anna Maria College. Playing in the NCAA’s Division III Sammons recorded six goals and four assists in her 20 games.

Nikki Sharp (GameSheet profile): First season in the United States after spending 202122 in Canada. Playing for Bishop Kearney Selects in 19U competition Sharp scored five goals and five assists from 19 games. She also competed in a further seven games for Rochester Youth Hockey, recording two goals and two assists. Heading into 202324 Sharp has signed with Nazareth College to compete in the NCAA’s Division III.

Samuel Tsao: Second season with Millbrook School. Playing in the United States High School’s Preparatory system Tsao competed in 26 games, recording four goals and four assists.

Nathan Walker: Fourth season with the St. Louis Blues organisation. Spending his entire season in the National Hockey League Walker recorded two goals and eight assists in his 56 games. Heading into 202324 Walker will compete in his fifth season for St. Louis having extended his contract to back in July 2022.

    • That would be interesting if he is returning there. I couldn’t see anything in the Rumours section of Elite Prospects about it.
