Day 38 of the 2023 Australian Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with wins for the Brisbane Lightning, CBR Brave, Melbourne Ice and Sydney Bears. Following today’s results CBR Brave win the Rurak Conference title and qualify for the semifinal round of the 2023 Goodall Cup playoffs. The Newcastle Northstars and Brisbane Lightning, who sit second and third respectively, will compete in the upcoming play-in round of the playoffs.
With their win the Sydney Bears move to the top of the Hellyer Conference standings with the Melbourne Mustangs dropping to second. The Rurak Conference standings remain unchanged with the CBR Brave continuing to lead over the Newcastle Northstars. The CBR Brave also continue to lead the league’s combined standings, three points ahead of the now second placed Sydney Bears. Competition resumes tomorrow with games in Adelaide, Central Coast, Melbourne and Sydney.
