2024 Women’s U18 World Championships: Australia defeats South Korea

The Australia women’s national under-18 team have defeated the South Korean women’s national under-18 team 3–0 in their third game of the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament in Jaca, Spain. Natasha Dube featured as the team’s only scorer, recording all three goals. The IIHF award for best Australian player of the match was given to goaltender Amelia Knott.

In the other games of the day Norway shutout Chinese Taipei 10–0 and Spain defeated Poland 5–1. At the end of the third round Australia has jumped up the standings into fourth place, pushing South Korea and Chinese Taipei into fifth and sixth respectively. Norway returns to the top of the standings, Spain moves back into second place, and Poland remains in third. The teams have a rest day today and return on 13 January where Australia will take on Poland for their fourth game of the competition. The two teams last met at the 2018 World Championships where Poland won 8–2.
