2018 U18 Women’s World Championship: Poland beat Australia

The Australian Women’s national under-18 team have lost to Poland 2-8 in their second game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. Forward Madison Poole was named best Australian player of the game. In other games of the day France defeated Great Britain 2-0 and Denmark beat China 10-0. After two rounds Australia have moved up to fifth in the standings, six points behind table leaders Denmark. The teams have a rest day today before returning on Tuesday where Australia take on Great Britain. The last time these two teams met was at the 2016 Division I Qualification tournament where Australia lost 2-3.
