2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 tournament: Australia defeats the Netherlands

The Australia women’s national youth 3-on-3 team have defeated the Netherlands women’s national youth 3-on-3 team 6–1 in their opening game the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics’ Women’s 3-on-3 ice hockey tournament. In the other games played China defeated South Korea 6–3, Italy beat Turkey 5–3, and Hungary shutout Mexico 17–0. At the end of the first day Australia sits second on the standings, trailing the first placed Hungary on goal difference. Competition resumes tomorrow with Australia taking on South Korea and Italy.
