Ice Hockey Australia have released the roster for the Australian men’s under-18 national team which will compete in the upcoming 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B tournament. The competition will take place from 17 March to 23 March 2024 in Puigcerda, Spain with Australia competing against Bulgaria, China, Chinese Taipei, Israel and Spain.
Comparing the roster to the team that competed at the 2023 World Championships it includes nine returning players and twelve new signings, while thirteen players have been dropped. The returning players include Bodie Jerome, Daniel Koudelka, Ivan Kuleshov, Jed Lake, Ruben Nalos, Luka Ouimette, Tyrone Oxlade, Lachlan Sucher, and Mac Tutton.
The twelve new signings for the team are Justin Baxter, Hunter Boland, Hugh Campbell, Tyler Colev, Thomas Garas, Marcus Henderson, Bryce Hodges, Jed Jameson, Jack Mollee, David Quinn, Cody Reader, and Benjamin Warden.
The thirteen players not returning for 2024 include Vincent Bond, Braden Costa, Livan Du Toit, Ryan Duchemin, Thomas Forrest, Finlay Gordon, Ronan Hoy, Brayden Maybee, Matt Nikitin, Daniel O’Handley, Mikko Rippon, Jesse Thompson, and Connor Wardlaw.
