The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) have announced that today’s match between the Adelaide Rush and Melbourne Ice has been cancelled. The decision followed an incident at the Adelaide Ice Arena during yesterday’s game which saw players from both teams hospitalised with carbon monoxide poisoning. The Adelaide Ice Arena, which is closed for today, has stated that a faulty exhaust on their Zamboni was the cause of the leak. The AWIHL have yet to clarify whether the game will be rescheduled.
