The Brisbane Lightning men’s and women’s teams will hold a showcase match on 2 March at Iceworld Boondall. The match will give the women’s team some ice time during their week off between the end of the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) regular season on 25 February and the start AWIHL playoffs on 9 March. For the men’s team it will serve as part of their pre-season for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season which gets underway on 6 April.
