The Brisbane Lightning have appointed Mike Sirant to the position of associate coach for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Sirant is the current head coach of the University of Manitoba’s men’s team which competes in the U Sports’ Canada West conference. He is also a former head coach of the Canadian men’s Universiade national team, Denmark’s men’s national team, Great Britain’s under-20 men’s national team, Milton Keynes Kings, and VEU Feldkirch.
