The Perth Thunder have announced the signing of defender John Kennedy or the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Kennedy spent 2023 playing for the Newcastle Northstars where he scored two goals and eight assists from 16 games. Since making his league debut in 2012 he has competed in 160 AIHL games and recorded 115 points.
