The Perth Thunder have announced the signing of French goaltender Léo Bertein for the upcoming 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Bertein is currently playing for Corsaires de Dunkerque in the FFHG Division 1 where he currently has a 0.896 save percentage and a 2.74 goals against average from 18 games. Between 2009 and 2024 Bertein has spent eleven seasons playing in the Ligue Magnus and five in the FFHG Division 1. He is also a former representative of the French national team having played in one game during the 2015–16 season.
