The Adelaide Rush have announced the departure of head coach Joey MacDougall after five years with the club. Initially set to hold an assistant coaching role in the 20219–20 season MacDougall took over the head coaching position following the departure of Jamie Holland and Hayden Crafter. During his tenure, MacDougall led the Rush to the playoffs on two occasions with their best finish being in 2020 where they finished as runners-up to the Sydney Sirens.
