Day 17 of the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with wins for the Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs, Newcastle Northstars, Perth Thunder, and Sydney Bears. In the Hellyer Conference, the Sydney Bears remain at the top of the standings, one point ahead of the second placed Melbourne Ice. In the Rurak Conference, the Newcastle Northstars extend their lead at the top of the standings to 14 points over the second placed Brisbane Lightning. The Sydney Bears also continue to lead the league’s combined standings with the Melbourne Ice in second and the Newcastle Northstars in third. Competition resumes tomorrow with games in Canberra, Central Coast, Melbourne, and Sydney.
