Canberra Brave have announced the signing of American defenceman Matt Clark for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Clark spent 2023–24 playing for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the NCAA’s Division III and the Birmingham Bulls and Peoria Rivermen in the Southern Professional Hockey League. Starting the season with Wisconsin-River Falls, Clark recorded three goals and two assists from 27 games. He then signed with the Peoria where he had brief one game stint before transferring to the Birmingham to finish the season, recording an assist from nine games.
Between 2017 and 2024 Clark has spent time playing in the Eastern Hockey League, National Collegiate Development Conference, NCAA’s Division I and Division III, North American Hockey League, and the Southern Professional Hockey League.
