Day 35 of the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League regular season has finished with wins for Canberra Brave, Melbourne Mustangs, and Sydney Bears. Following today’s results, the Newcastle Northstars are the second team to qualify for the 2024 Goodall Cup playoffs joining the Sydney Bears who qualified back in June.
In the Hellyer Conference, the Sydney Bears increase their lead at the top of the standings to thirteen points over the Melbourne Ice. In the Rurak Conference, the Newcastle Northstars remain at the top of the standings, six points clear of the second placed Canberra Brave. The Sydney Bears also continue to lead the league’s combined standings with the Melbourne Ice in second and the Perth Thunder in third. Competition resumes on 19 July with the Melbourne Mustangs hosting the Melbourne Ice at the O’Brien Icehouse.
