Australians overseas 2023–24: United States (part 3)

Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2023–24 season. Today is Part 3 of 9 featuring Australians in the United States.

Liam Devlin (MSHSL profile): Second season with Breck School. Playing in the Minnesota State High School League, Devlin recorded two goals and nine penalty minutes from 26 games.

Ben Harpur (AHL profile): Second season with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Playing in the American Hockey League (AHL), Harpur recorded a goal and two assists in his seven games. Heading into 2024–25, Harpur will continue with Hartford having signed a two-year contract extension in January 2023 with their affiliate, the New York Rangers.

Chris Harpur (AHL profile and ECHL profile): Starting 2023–24 off in his third season with the Orlando Solar Bears in the ECHL, Harpur competed in 28 games, recording three goals and six assists. In January, Harpur joined the American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch on a professional tryout contract where he finished the season with five assists from 19 games. In June, Harpur signed a one-year contract with Syracuse for the upcoming 2024–25 AHL season.

Thomas Harrow (USPHL profile): First season in the United States after spending 2022–23 in Canada. Playing in the United States Premier Hockey League’s (USPHL) Elite division, Harrow started the season off with the Connecticut Junior Rangers where he recorded 23 points in 38 games. He then moved across to the Florida Eels to finish the season, recording 12 points from eight games. In June, Harrow signed with the Hespeler Shamrocks for the upcoming 2024–25 Provincial Junior Hockey League season.

Griffin Hart (USPHL profile): Second season with the Potomac Patriots. Playing for their 18U AAA team in the Tier 1 Hockey Federation’s 18U division, Hart competed in 35 games, recording 12 goals and 18 assists. He also made two appearances for Potomac’s team in the United States Premier Hockey League’s Elite division.
