2024 Women’s Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge: Australia wins Game 2 and the series

The Australian women’s national team have defeated the New Zealand women’s national team 3–2 in the second game of the 2024 Women’s Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium. Stephenie Cochrane led the scoring for Australia with two goals and Natasha Farrier picked up one. For New Zealand, Caitlin Hollyer and Kellye Nelson recorded a goal each. Australia wins the series two games to nil, having won the first game 5–0, and Australia’s Christina Julien was named the most valuable player of the tournament.
