Brisbane Lightning has defeated Adelaide Rush 2–1 in their semifinal game of the 2025 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) playoffs at O’Brien Icehouse. Adelaide and Brisbane had qualified for the match after finishing the regular season in first and fourth place respectively. Brisbane now advances to the grand final where they will take on the winner of today’s other semifinal between Melbourne Ice and Perth Inferno. Adelaide meanwhile moves on to the third-place game between the loser of the other semifinal.
