Brisbane Lightning defender Luka Ouimette has signed with the Oceanside Generals of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League for their upcoming 2025–26 season. This will be Ouimette’s first season in Canada after spending the previous off-seasons playing in the Queensland Super League for the Brisbane Bobcats. Ouimette will be the second Australian to compete for Oceanside, following Ethan Hawes, who was a member of the team from 2022 to 2023.
