Ice Hockey Australia (IHA) has released the roster for the Australian men’s under-20 national team which will compete in the upcoming 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament. The competition will take place from 18 January to 24 January 2026 in Belgrade, Serbia with Australia competing against Iceland, Israel, Netherlands, New Zealand, and Serbia.
Fourteen changes have been made to the team compared to the 2025 roster. Artem Astafiev, Justin Baxter, Hunter Boland, Tobie Gilchrist, Thomas Harrow, Bryce Hodges, Bodie Jerome, Jed Lake, Luka Loria, Jack Mollee, Thomas Papas, Benjamin Shearer, Colby Shumak, and Dominik Trnka will all make their debut for the team in 2026.
The fourteen players not returning for 2026 are Oliver Ashby, Samuel Bartlett, Braden Costa, Thomas Forrest, Julian Friederich, Finlay Gordon, Marcus Henderson, Cameron Hughes, Brayden Maybee, Daniel O’Handley, Connor Wardlaw, Maliq West, Henry York, and Jerry Zhou.
