The Australian men’s national team have defeated the New Zealand men’s national team 6–1 in the final game of the 2026 Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge at O’Brien Icehouse. Sacha Rapchuk led the scoring for Australia with four goals followed by Mackenzie Caruana and Maxim Lyashenko with one each. Australia wins the series two games to one, after losing the first game by a goal and winning the second in a four-goal shutout.
