The Sydney Ice Dogs have announced the signing of Japanese goaltender Ryo Murakami for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Murakami last played in 2024–25 for Laser HT in the II-divisioona, Laser HT Hot Team in the III-divisioona, and Laser HT U20 Red and TIHC U20 in the U20 Suomi-sarja.
Between 2021 and 2025, Murakami has competed in the II-divisioona, III-divisioona, National Collegiate Development Conference, North American 3 Hockey League, U20 Suomi-sarja, and the United States Premier Hockey League’s Premier Division
