The Melbourne Mustangs have announced the signing of American forward Matt Dorsey for the 2026 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Dorsey has spent 2025–26 playing for the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs in the SPHL where he currently has 11 goals and 12 assists from 32 games. Roanoke are currently playing first round of the playoffs where they hold a two-game lead over the Birmingham Bulls.
Between 2016 and 2026, Dorsey has spent time playing in the British Columbia Hockey League, SPHL, U Sports, and Western Hockey League.
