Brisbane Lightning have announced the retirement of forward Josh Labrie from the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). Labrie played seven games for the club this season with his final game on 6 June against the Central Coast Rhinos at Iceworld Boondall. Making his league debut in 2023, Labrie competed in 60 AIHL games, recording three goals and three assists. He also made twelve appearances for Brisbane in their 2022 exhibition season where he record ten points.
