With the 2025–26 season having finished in the Northern Hemisphere we thought we would take a brief look at the Australian players who were competing overseas. Today is Part 5 of 11 featuring Australians in Canada. The information is collected from Elite Prospects and so might not be fully comprehensive.
Jeremy Gagnon: Third season with the Canadian International Hockey Academy (CIHA). Playing on their Voyageurs U18 Varsity team, Gagnon competed in four games. Heading into 2026–27, he has re-signed with CIHA for a fourth season.
Thomas Garas (CSSHL profile): Second season in Canada with Okanagan Hockey Ontario. Playing in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s (CSSHL) U18 Prep East Division, Garas competed in 20 games, recording five goals and five assists. He also made three appearances in the CSSHL’s U18 Prep Division, scoring one goal, and four in their East East Challenge. In addition to playing in the CSSHL, Garas also played three games in the Power Prep Hockey League’s 18U Division, recording two points, and 42 games in independent U18 AAA competition, recording 22 points.
Tobie Gilchrist (VIJHL profile): First season with the Kerry Park Islanders after spending the last three with Pacific Coast Academy. Playing in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League, Gilchrist recorded two goals and one assist from 24 games.
Lucas Giveen Gomes De Reis (USPHL profile): First season in Canada. Playing for the Diamond Valley Rockies in the United States Premier Hockey League’s Premier Division, Giveen Gomes De Reis competed in 33 games, recording 27 goals and 18 assists.
Samuel Harrow (OMHA statistics): First season with Hamilton Steel after spending 2024–25 with the Cambridge Hawks. Playing in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association’s U16 Division, Harrow recorded four goals and four assists from 41 games.
