Brisbane Lightning have announced the re-signing of head coach Matthew Meyer for the 2026–27 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League (AWIHL) season. Meyer returns for his fourth season as head coach, having first been appointed in August 2023. Over his three seasons, he has a record of 29 wins from 58 games, with Brisbane finishing as runners-up in the last two grand finals.
