The Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) have released a revised schedule for the upcoming 2022 season. The regular season dates remain the same with a start of 30 April and finish of 28 August. The playoffs as earlier announced will now run from 2 September to 4 September in Melbourne. The revised schedule also includes exhibition games involving the Brisbane Lightning, Central Coast Rhinos and Perth Thunder. The first exhibition game on the schedule will see the Mustangs travel to Brisbane on 23 April to take on the Lightning on 23 April. Though prior to this the Newcastle Northstars are hosting the Sydney Bears in an exhibition game on 9 April at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.
