The Melbourne Ice have added goaltender Brendan Kleipas to their roster ahead of their two games at Macquarie Ice Rink on 10 and 11 August against the Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs. Kleipas is currently playing for the Polyflor Raptors in the East Coast Super League (ECSL) where he has a save percentage of 0.816 and a 3.50 goals against average from two games.
In 2023, Kleipas made his Australian Ice Hockey League debut for the Central Coast Rhinos where he competed in two games, recording a save percentage of 0.750. He also played in 17 ECSL games for the Polyflor Raptors, finishing the season with a 0.834 save percentage.
