After leaving the Adelaide Adrenaline in mid-August Nathaniel Benson joined the Carleton Place Jr. Canadians in the Central Canada Hockey League Tier 2. Benson recorded seven points from 37 games in the regular season and got one game into the playoffs before the league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 2019-20 season was Benson’s first season out of Australia having played the last two seasons in the AJIHL for the Adelaide Generals. Benson has been a member of the Adrenaline since 2017, recording eight points from 46 games.
