2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend: All-Star Game

The 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend has finished with Team North defeating Team South 11-9 in the All-Star Game at the Sydney International Convention Centre. Perth Thunder’s Keven Veilleux claimed the Mick McCormack Cup after being named the most valuable player.

Funes replaces Schlamp as Team North captain

The Australian Ice Hockey League have announced Brian Funes as the new captain of Team North for the 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend. Funes replaces Michael Schlamp in the role after Schlamp was forced to withdraw due to injury.

Team South roster announced for 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend

The Australian Ice Hockey League have released the roster for Team South ahead of the 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend on 14 and 15 June.

Captains and coaches announced for 2019 All-Star Weekend

The Australian Ice Hockey League have announced the team captains and coaches for the 2019 All-Star Weekend. Team North will be captained and coached by the Sydney Bears Michael Schlamp and Ron Kuprowsky respectively. Team North will be made up of players from the CBR Brave, Newcastle Northstars, Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs. Team South will have Perth Thunders’ Jamie Woodman as its captain and Dave Ruck as coach. Team South will be made up of players from the Adelaide Adrenaline, Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs and Perth Thunder. The 2019 All-Star Weekend will be held on 14 and 15 June 2019 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. For more information see the announcement from the league.

Details released for 2019 AIHL All-Star Weekend

The Australian Ice Hockey League’s 2019 All-Star Weekend has been announced. The two day event is set to be held on 14 and 15 June 2019 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney with the skills competition being held on the 14th followed by the all-stars game on the 15th. This years edition of the Weekend will run alongside the 2019 Ice Hockey Classic which will hold a game at the International Convention Centre on both days. Team captains for the Weekend have yet to be announced by the league.
