Pirates lose to Eagles and Flyers

The Canberra Pirates have lost their two 2017 NSW Women’s League games this weekend against the Canterbury Eagles and Blacktown Flyers. The team were shutout 0-4 in their first game against the Eagles and lost the second 1-2 against the Flyers.

The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition on 22 July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the Sydney Bears on 12 August at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre and 13 August at the Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink.

Pirates and Flyers share points in double header

The Canberra Pirates have won and lost a game in their double header against the Blacktown Flyers Women at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre. The team claimed their second win of the 2017 NSW Women’s League season in Game 1 with a 5-2 win over the Flyers however they went on to lose the second game 1-3.

The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition on 22 July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the Canterbury Eagles Women on 9 July at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre.
