Brave appoint Rob Starke as head coach

The CBR Brave have announced the signing of Rob Starke to the position of head coach. Starke replaces Josh Unice who left the club in mid-August last year. Starke formally played for the Newcastle North Stars before retiring at the end of the 2015 season. He has also represented Australia on three occassions and was head coach of the Australian under-18 team in 2007.

Newcastle North Stars
– North Stars defenceman Robert Starke has announced his retirement from the AIHL. Starke played in 281 games for the North Stars from 2004 to 2015 and represented Australia on three occassions from 2008 to 2010. For more information see the announcement from the club.

Perth Thunder
Toni Kluuskeri has signed with Narvik Hockey of the Norwegian First Division for the upcoming 2015-16 season. The season will be Kluuskeri’s first in Norway, having previously played in France, Sweden and his native Finland.

Sydney Bears
Joseph Harcharik has signed with Sollentuna HC of the Swedish Hockeyettan for the upcoming 2015-16 season. The season will be Harcharik’s first in Sweden, having come to the Bears from Orlik Opole of the Polska Liga Hokejowa.
