Perth Thunder player Sean Hamilton has announced via Twitter that he is heading to Melbourne to attend a training camp with the Melbourne Ice. Hamilton joined the Thunder back in their inaugural 2012 season but didn’t make his debut until the 2013 season. Playing as a reserve import the Canadian born forward gained his Australian residency in August 2013 and became eligible to play for the Thunder as a local player. Hamilton finished his first season with five goals and an assist in thirteen games.
