Australian U18 men defeat Israel in scrimmage match

The Australian men’s national under-18 team have defeated the Israeli men’s national under-18 team 2-1 in a two-period scrimmage match. The two teams were originally scheduled to compete in a full-length exhibition game however the format was changed to two 22-minute running time periods following a request from the Israeli team. The game was held as part of the team’s training camp before the start of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division III Group A tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria which begins on 14 March.
