Australian U20 lose to HC DDM Ceske Budejovice U20

The Australian men’s under-20 team have lost to HC DDM Ceske Budejovice U20 5-6 in an exhibition game yesterday in the Czech Republic. The Australian’s held a 4-1 lead during the third period however let the game tie up 5-5 before the Czechs converted a penalty shot to win 6-5 in regular time. The team is currently in the Czech Republic on a training camp before the start of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B tournament in Logrono, Spain which begins on 7 January. The Australian’s have one more exhibition game against HC Litomerice U20 before the end of the training camp.
