Round 16 of the 2017 Australian Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Melbourne Mustangs, CBR Brave and Melbourne Ice. The Ice claim the H Newman Reid Trophy as the winners of the 2017 regular season with four games to play. The Northstars become the third team to be eliminated from playoffs contention after their loss to the Mustangs on 13 August. Next week all eight teams are in action across eight games.
