2020 Women’s World Championships: Australia shutout Croatia

The Australian women’s national team have defeated Croatia 15-0 in their third game of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament. Forward Michelle Clark-Crumpton scored a hat-trick and was named best Australian player of the match. In other games of the day New Zealand defeated Ukraine 5-3 and Iceland beat Turkey 6-0. At the end of the third round Australia remain in first place, three points clear of Iceland and New Zealand. Australia takes on Ukraine today for their fourth game of the tournament. This will be the first time these two teams have met with Ukraine only entering the World Championships in 2019 at a lower level than Australia.
