The Newcastle Northstars have announced plans for a series of games against the Sydney Ice Dogs, currently planned for August. The number of games and the venues for the competition have yet to be announced. The series will also be limited to just the Northstars and the Ice Dogs with the Sydney Bears struggling with player availability issues and the CBR Brave’s rink undergoing maintenance.
